Ossum!
Once, while listening to a young
woman calling this-and-that “awesome”, I
inwardly decided that that word, used that way, should be spelled “ossum”. Beethoven’s 5th is
awesome, as in inspiring awe; Rebecca Black’s “Friday” is ossum, as in the rear
end of “opossum”.
