In Existence

In Existence
(to the tune of “From A Distance”)

In existence, the sky looks white and blue
But the ground is muddy brown
In existence, illusion is not true
And the wolf pack drags sheep down
In existence, there’s disharmony
On each land beneath the sun
It’s the woe of want
It’s the trial of toil
It’s the work of everyone
In existence, no one has enough
And everyone’s in need
There are guns, and bombs, and dread disease
And hungry mouths to feed
In existence, we are implements
Striving for competing goals
Striving for our gains
Striving for our names
It’s the strife in every soul
Life is up to us
Life is up to us
Life is up to us, in existence
In existence, you look like my friend
Even though we are at war
In existence, I too well comprehend
What all this war is for
In existence, there’s disharmony
On each land beneath the sun
And it’s the woe of want
It’s the trial of toil
It’s the work of everyone
It’s the woe of want
It’s the trial of toil
It’s the work of everyone
Life is up to us
Life is up to us
Life is up to us, in existence
Life is up to us
Life is up to us
Life is up to us, in existence
