Underfables: Heaven Eleven

    Heaven Eleven

Once upon a time a mirage was mystic enough to become a spirit; and the spirit was holy enough to become an angel; and the angel was mighty enough to become a god.

But in the heaven one level higher, a young girl saw a frog leap into a pond. At the sound of water, she smiled.

The god did not understand why she smiled, and so remained only a god.

Employees in a hierarchy tend to rise to their level of incompetence.
