       The Basis Point

          “One Percent” refers to the richest 1%. Lately many people have noticed that the 1% isn't nearly as bad as the 1% of the 1%. We 99%ers are, to them, peasants; and the 1%ers are dukes and barons; but the 1% of the 1% are emperors and popes; as hard on the millionaires as the millionaires have been hard on us thousand-aires.

But what to call  the 1% of the 1%? Fortunately they themselves have invented a name for one part in ten thousand; they call it a Basis Point.

Therefore I propose that we call the 1% of the 1% the “Basis Point”, and the people in it the “Basis Pointers”.
