On Conservative Rebels
“Conservative
rebel” is a contradiction in terms. They’re right-wingers, they’re radical
insurgents, they’re extremists; but conservative? Only in an Orwellian
definition of the word. Such
‘conservatives’ are not interested in conserving anything; not blood, nor
treasure, nor honor, nor security, nor liberty.
They
lose wars, they preach rebellion, and they’re bad for business; that’s not
conservative. For right-wing radicals to call themselves ‘conservative’ is a
Big Lie. Let’s refuse to repeat it.
