An Old Story, an Underfable

          An Old Story

Once upon a time, President Werewolf booked an appearance on a  Pundit’s talk-show. The Pundit said, “Every full moon you commit hideous deeds. What do you say to your critics about your many lies? And scandals? And crimes? And high treasons?”
President Werewolf said, “I love my country.”
The Pundit accepted this as an answer; and for the rest of the interview he asked President Werewolf easy questions.
For then on, President Werewolf’s lies, scandals, crimes and treasons, which he kept committing every full moon, were called an “old story” that had been “dealt with”.

Moral: It never hurts to suck up to the boss.

Comments: Kudos to slacktivist for proposing this fable’s plot. The Moral is Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #33.
