Are you for 86? By which I mean, the abortion drug RU-486. Technology has overtaken law, as usual. Nowadays RU-486 is called mifepristone, which induces uterine wall shedding, followed by misoprostol, which induces expulsion. I like that ‘to 86’ is slang for ‘to refuse service’, ‘to remove’, or ‘to expel’.

Mifeprestone can be sent through the mail, and used in private, and thus avoid detection by the forced-birthers. But its use may sometimes require medical assistance. That’s when the forced-birthers can ambush. No doubt they’ll de facto illegalize miscarriages too.

To stop drug-induced miscarriages, the forced-birthers would have to wage drug war, and we know that those don’t work. The invisible hand of the Market is quicker than the all-seeing eye of the State.

Abortion drugs! How’s that for a culture-war red flag? War on abortion drugs! How’s that for a forever-war?

Imagine the profit opportunities! Like this: devoutly hypocritical anti-abortion gangsters buy mass quantities of mifepristone and misoprostol, smuggle it into red states, sell it at a price inflated by a factor of 10, pay off cops, and buy legislators. The gang orders the legislators to pass harsher laws against abortion, and thus raise the street price of abortion drugs.

Hypocrisy, thy name is profit! The scam is 100% predictable, so here I am, 100% predicting it!

Really the gang won’t be pro- or anti-abortion; they’ll be monopolists.
