Payment, an Underfable

          Payment

Once upon a time a Dwarf visited a Gnome’s “Olde Curiosity Shoppe”. The Dwarf pointed at a gilded music box.
The Gnome said, “Four gold coins.”
The Dwarf said, “I want!”
          The Gnome said, “No sale.”
          The Dwarf said, “I deserve!”
          The Gnome said, “No sale.”
          The Dwarf said, “I need!
          The Gnome said, “No sale.”
The Dwarf heaved a sigh, and said, “I have.”
          The Gnome said, “Sold!

Moral: Only “I have” pays the bills.

Comment: Both Dwarf and Gnome are short-spoken.
