Name Hurricanes After Monsters
I think we should name hurricanes after monsters and villains of fiction and history. Hurricanes are terrifying forces of natural destruction; why give them ordinary-people names? What did Harvey ever do to you to deserve sharing a name with the one that flooded Houston? And besides, if you're going to be killed by a hurricane, then which would you rather be killed by: Hurricane George or Hurricane Godzilla? I rest my case.
Besides, one effect of climate change is bigger storms. So, more monstrous.
What I'd like is two alphabetical lists from A to Z, one of monsters, one of villains. Monsters: Grendel, Godzilla, Mothra, Smaug, Shelob, Cthulhu, Dracula, Bluebeard. Villains: Vader, Joker, Satan, Sauron. Both these lists need filling out,
Also try a list of historical villains. Hurricanes Nero, Caligula, Drakul, Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Mao. This might be controversial: some of them retain clueless fan clubs to this very day.
