The White Cat, an Underfable

Canto 6, quatrain 10, ends my current collection of Retrodictions. More later as they arrive.

This week I shall blog another Working Joe story, plus Three Berkeley Trips. Today I give you a new Underfable; "The White Cat".

****

The White Cat

Once upon a time a Supervillain stroked his White Cat and told the feline the tale of a tiger attack. He crooned, “And then the tiger ate them all up.” The White Cat purred. “But now for a sad story,” the Supervillain said. “The very next day the tiger attacked another group, but a Superhero flew in and defeated the tiger.” The White Cat lept to its feet, turned around, looked back at the Supervillain, narrowed its eyes, flicked its tail, and jumped away.

Moral: Fit the tale to the audience.
